Coach Tour - Bangalore - Coorg(Madikeri) - Bangalore ( 2 Nights / 3 Days

Coorg or Kodagu is a tiny district nestling in the lap of mighty Western Ghats in the State of Karnataka, India. A district with unique culture of its own, this verdant landscape has been eulogized by many an acclaimed personality in vivid terms. Coorg is the ‘Coffee Bowl’ of the country as it accounts for nearly 40 per cent of the country’s total coffee production. The land is also called by many as the “Scotland of India” for its sheer natural beauty.

Enroute you would see Tea, coffee, cardamom, pepper and rubber plantation.

  • Wild Animals most likely to spot are Elephants, tigers, panthers, jungle cats, civet cats, monkeys, wild dogs, bisons, deer, bears, monitor lizards and a variety of snakes can be seen.
  • Optional: - Visitors can also take pleasure in exploring the nearby attractions like Edakkal Caves (28 Km) and Pookode Lake(12 Km).

Itinerary

Day 1
Day 01: Bangalore / Coorg - Madikeri: (300Kms / 6 - 7 Hrs)

Meet on arrival at Bangalore Airport / Railway station and drive to Coorg – Madikeri. On arrival check into resort, lunch & relax. Later proceed to visit Abbey falls-Tucked away between private coffee and spice estate, Madikeri Fort – The 19th century Madikeri fort with its stone ramparts now houses the prison, Omkareshwara Temple – Built in 1820 and featuring a blend of red-tile roofed Kerala architecture and Islamic-style domes. Evening visit Raja Seat- is an enchanting picnic spot with a swathing in the nature’s lap. Return to hotel and overnight.

Day 2
Coorg - Madikeri / Bangalore:

Early breakfast checkout and proceed to Dubare elephant camp (to reach the place before 08.30Hrs) offer the 3 hour experience with Elephants consisting of elephant Grooming, feeding, later visit Cauvery Nisargadhama – is an island formed by river Cauvery and is used as a picnic spot island, with lush foliage of thick bamboo groves, Lunch at Kushalnagar and later visit Bylakuppe – largest Tibetan settlement in South India. The temple has 62 feet Buddha statues covered with gold plates is a wonderful sight anytime. Later drive to Bangalore. On arrival drop to Airport / Railway station to board the Flight / Train for onward destination. Tour ends.

  • During off season, if available (A/C Indica) will be upgraded to any one of these vehicle – Indigo or Verito or Logan or Etios or Dzire.
  • A knowledgeable tourist guide-cum-driver throughout the journey who could communicate you in either English or Hindi.
  • Other expenses such as fuel charge, Bata for the driver, parking fees, toll charges and other interstate charges.
  • Sightseeing to the tourist places mentioned in your travel itinerary that wholly depend on the date and time of your arrival.
  • Air-conditioned cabs for your transportation purposes during off-seasons. Special provisions to upgrade your vehicle to larger vehicles like Swift Dzire, Logan, Etios, Indigo or Verito from Indica if available.

  • Any portage at airports and hotels, tips, insurance, wine, mineral water, telephone charges, and all items of personal nature.

  • If the package is for two adults, Extra person/children will not be allowed.
  • Mandatory Gala Dinner on Xmas & New year Eve (Pay Directly) as per hotel policy.
  • Activities listed other than in the itinerary.
  • Other miscellaneous expenses for personal requirements and outlays such as mineral water, insurance, telephone charges, tips and any sorts of portages at either hotels or airports.
  • Amusement park entry fees and charges for elephant rides. Moreover, the charges for boating and entering the forest limits of Thekkady that needs to be paid directly at the ticket counters.
  • Depending on the terms and conditions of the hotel/resort you are staying in, the payment for any sort of Mandatory Gala Dinner during New Year Eve and Xmas. They can be paid directly.

  •  As far as the low temperatures of the tourist places such as Munnar, Thekkady, Kodaikanal and Ooty are concerned, the rooms allotted in the resorts/hotels will not be air-conditioned.
  • On the occasion of any sudden strikes or bandh, the company is obliged to arrange other alternatives.
